…..I’ve got a Great Idea. And the installation artist Richard Wilson had this groovy notion. He is famous for Room Filled with Sump Oil and likes to do things on a grand scale. This iconic image from The Italian Job will be hanging on to its cliff edge all summer in Bexhill to celebrate the edges of the De La Warr Pavilion. And it rocks! The bus that is. Rather slowly but most definitely.
Here is the mock up in motion.
The ‘cliff top’ aka the roof of the building is free to visitors and extremey popular, but so is the space underneath the back end of the bus. It’s a parking lot, but noone is choosing to park there just now for some reason, so it has become a place to pose for those ‘aaaargh’ shots. Sorry about the light issues in this one…..
If you go along on the 25 th August you can watch The Italian Job on a big outdoor screen, it’s free, so just form your own Self Preservation Society by wrapping up well and let’s all hope for a sunny evening!
