Wood Fired Showers on Wheels

The Nurture Nature zone went straight to the top of our ‘A’ list of cool places to hang out during the Green Man Festival. The discovery was all down to Caroline who spotted the Buddha Field cafe, with floor rugs and shoes taken off at the door and a row of pretty wellies wait outside. Inside low tables are surrounded by happy families sitting on floor eating croissants and drinking delicious coffee.

Now they have added a wood-fired shower unit which they carry between festivals on a trailer. The four showers, all in private cubicles, wash off the daily accumulation of MUD (we love mud by the way), and also cleanse the soul, burning only wooden crates – other people’s disposable timber – to make the hot water.

To see how it works, watch the expert explain everything.

  1. Oooooo! Hot showered to wood fired “donkeys” in Africa. This one looks good. Would like to fire one up in the garden! :-)
